Cocos Brix makes the ideal substrate for growers who prefer to use a pure and natural product. Cocos Brix has been treated with calcium and flushed with clean water afterwards, therefore creating a very stable substrate which does not contain any fertilizers. It is particularly suitable for fast growing plants. Furthermore, Cocos Brix have a high water retention capacity so you can give less water. Cocos Brix meets the most stringent quality standards and is awarded the RHP Certificate for Consumers. It can be re-used as a soil improver. Cocos Brix produces the highest yields in combination with Plagron Cocos A&B and the additives from Plagron.

42 Liters of coconut substrate in handy size

A Cocos Brix package consists of six pressed blocks of coconut substrate, no bigger than a handbag. One block of Cocos Brix produces seven liters of substrate. A complete package is therefore good for no less than 42 liters (!) of coconut substrate.

Easy to transport due to compact shape

Cocos Brix is delivered in pressed block forms, which makes it manageable and therefore easy to transport. This is a great advantage over bags. You can easily prepare the coconut blocks for use by soaking them in a bucket of water.

Low initial EC Value prevents Calcium Deficiency

Because Cocos Brix is fully flushed and buffered, a low EC value is guaranteed. Therefore, it is a given that you are growing with a coconut substrate that is clean and pure. All unwanted salts have been flushed out during several buffering steps. This prevents your plant from having problems absorbing nutrients during growth and flowering. When you give your plant Cocos A & B, in the right dosage, it can be absorbed by the plant properly. Because of the low initial EC-value, a calcium deficiency is prevented. Highest Quality Coco (RHP-Certified)

The high quality of the Plagron coconut substrates is confirmed by the RHP quality mark. The RHP quality mark guarantees the correct quality requirements and sustainable origin of the substrate. For example, Cocos Brix has excellent water retention and is free of sand, weeds and pathogens. This means that Plagron coconut substrates are clean and pure, and you can use them safely without risk to your grow.

Dosage and use

Immerse 1 piece of Cocos Brix in a bucket containing 4 liters (1.05 gal) of water and regularly squeeze the brick. After 20 - 30 minutes you will have about 7 liters (1.85 gal) of ready to use cocos substrate. Add nutrients each time you water and set the pH to 5.5.

How do I know if I can reuse Cocos Brix?

After a poor harvest, you should bear in mind that some of the fertiliser will not have been absorbed by the plants. This means that the substrate cannot be reused. We recommend replacing Cocos Brix after six months.

How much water should I add per Cocos Brix?

The manufacturer recommends adding 4 litres of water per Cocos Brix. This will produce 7 litres of coconut substrate.

How often can Cocos Brix be used?

Depending on the quality of your tap water, the pH buffer in our Cocos Brix will be used up more quickly or more slowly. Cocos Brix can be used for growing for at least six months without any problems.

Is soaked Cocos Brix of the same quality as Cocos Premium?

Yes, the quality is identical.
