Application & dosage:
- Preparation: Shake well before use.
- Dosage: Use undiluted – no mixing necessary.
- Spray directly onto the affected parts of the plant until the leaves are dripping wet.
- Treat the upper and lower sides of the leaves thoroughly, as pests like to hide there.
- Apply in the morning or evening – not in direct sunlight or heat.
- Repeat: Every 3–5 days in case of heavy infestation. Use every 7–14 days as a preventive measure.
Note: Do not mix with products containing oils or sulphur. Do not use on wilted or weakened plants.
Athena IPW is effective against the following pests:
- Thrips
- Spider mites (e.g. red spider mite)
- Aphids
- Whiteflies
- Mealybugs & scale insects
- Cicadas (e.g. leafhoppers)
- Fungus gnats (to a lesser extent when in contact with larvae on the surface)
- Scale insects (young stages)
- Insect eggs & residues on leaf surfaces
Athena IPW not only removes pests, but also:
- Eggs & larvae found on the undersides of leaves or stems
- Pesticide residues, dirt and deposits
- Sticky honeydew deposits left behind by aphids or whiteflies, for example
Important:
Athena IPW is not systemic – pests must be directly hit by the spray. Thorough wetting of the upper and lower leaf surfaces is therefore crucial for success. In case of heavy infestation, several treatments at intervals of 3–5 days are recommended.
